Consignment Board

Let us do the work of selling your horse for you! CMS offers an affordable consignment service, for a limited number of pre-qualified horses
  • Evaluation - We will evaluate your horse for you for a flat fee of $100 plus pro rated boarding costs (click here for Facilites page). This process usually takes about a week. We will determine if your horse is appropriate for our sales program and assess your horse for soundness, and suitability for many different jobs.
  • Decisions - At the end of the evaluation period we will sit down with you, agree to consignment terms, board type and asking price for your horse. After that, it is all up to us!
  • Advertising - We take pictures of the horse, produce a video, and advertise. We primarily advertise through websites, journals, newspapers, and other publications. We also let our extensive list of clients know that the horse is available, through email, and by making phone calls. The whole process usually takes about 4-12 weeks, depending on the horse and situation.
  • Showing - If you are selling a show horse or a potential show horse, and you would like your horse to be shown, ask us about showing options. Horse shows (click here for Horse Shows page) are great opportunities to promote your horse and get the horse out for potential buyers to see.

Our sale horses get excellent homes, we have many repeat clients, and we regularly get updates on many of the horses that we have sold in the past.

If this service interests you, we will be happy to give you more information on the program, terms, fees, and answer any questions. Please contact us anytime.

WILLOW- Big, Fancy, and a Confidence Builder Too!

Big, Fancy, and a Confidence Builder Too! Willow is a 17.1 hh, 11 yr old, dark bay warmblood mare. She has a gorgeous trot, a smooth and amazing collected canter, and beautiful flying changes. This horse loves to work and is an uncomplicated ride. Easy enough for an advanced beginner but interesting enough for the advanced rider. Willow has experience in the dressage ring and at the horse shows, has shown to 3’ but is best as a 2’6 horse. Most recently she has been teaching framing, upper level dressage movements, and beginner jumping to an adult rider. She is a patient teacher and really enjoys this job. This sweet mare would love to have another adult of her own to bring up! (she is also quiet and gentle with children but she is very big!) Willow would like a forever home – she is a wonderful, kind, girl. No vices. All this and she is also a great pleasure horse, fantastic on the trail and even the beach!

Packer show hunter and ultimate trail horse in one package - LARK is a strikingly beautiful 16h 9yo QH gelding. Lark's looks re really something special and he draws comments wherever he goes. He is suitable for an amateur and will pack around at the horse shows and WIN.  He can bop around on a loose rein, or really step out and be fancy, fancy, fancy with a more experienced rider. Lovely comfortable smooth gaits, very well-trained.  Jumps around quietly at 2’6 and does his changes nicely. Cannot be beat in the hack, very steady over fences and just loves that job!  This horse craves attention and really wants his own “mom”. He gets along with other horses easily and is happy alone or with others. Icing on the cake – you can trail ride this horse ANYWHERE alone or in company, beach, water, over and through anything. He is a PLEASURE to ride! Dressage riders also take notice – this horse can really do it all! Priced to sell at $15,000.
